Is it wrong to start liking someone you play a online game with? I play second life(a lot like sims but online). A free online game. I have a HOT character and well I have seen a real life picture of the guy I am dating in the game. We get along so well and I can tell he is being himself cuz I know a lot about him in real life. Can I return a product [Sims 3] that I bought but no longer want? Okay so I ordered The Sims 3 online on June 7, 2 days after it was released in my country. I ordered it at the best price, less than 3/4 of the normal retail price almost everywhere else, and from one of the leading retailers too. Then I waited. And waited and waited and waited. The day I ordered it was a Sunday. That Wednesday I was wondering how it was going and it said the status of my order was completed. So I rang the help desk but turns out that was just that it had been processed and paid and they were just waiting on the delivery to them before I could get it. I made a big mistake when I ordered it by saying I wanted to pick it up. Just a tip for anyone, it's easier to get it delivered. Well anyway I was sooooo excited to get it, couldn't wait and they were gonna call me when it arrived so I would check the voice mail everyday after school just to check they hadn't called. By Wednesday 17th I was getting a little impatient so I called the help desk place again and the delivery was still coming. The next Wednesday (24th), I called the store. They were still waiting on it they assured me they'd call me when my order was ready. This Wednesday (July 1), I didn't even feel like calling, knowing there'd be some lame excuse again. Today was a whole 4 weeks since I first placed my order so, for the second time, I sent my mother along to the store (because I work weekends and go to school weekdays) to see if they had any copies of the game in stock because if so we could politely inquire about my order. Turns out my order had been ready in store since June 26! I just about cried right then. Am I supposed to be a mind-reader?! I had religiously checked my voice mail everyday. Turns out they left a message on my cell phone. Where I'm from pretty much no one uses a cell phone for calling since it's free to call landline to landline in my area. And I thought that was really weird too because I use my cell phone everyday and noticed nothing. I checked and I guess the message had expired or something because there was nothing there today. So here I am sad, angry and strangely, after a whole entire freaking month of waiting, I don't even want the Sims 3 anymore. I'm sorry but I don't see that any game could be good enough to wait that long for. After work, I had planned to go about cancelling my order. I now have Sims 3 but I haven't played it, taken it out of the packet, or even looked at it. Am I allowed to return it? Since I ordered online I don't have a receipt and I to be honest they didn't even give the order to me, but instead my mother. And do you think a wait of a month (or over two weeks to the date it was supposedly ready) is acceptable? I work in fast food and I've seen people have giant fits because they've had to wait 5 minutes. I guess I had to wait 5 minutes too, only 8640 times! What do you think I should do? And should I give the Sims 3 a chance first? Is it worth it? And would playing it negate any chance I have of returning the game?
